We strive to keep our GCBC event calendar updated daily. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please send them our way!
We would also like to send out a friendly reminder to everyone of a few basic cycling safety and etiquette practices. Our goal is to ensure a challenging, fun, and safe ride for all. Additionally, we want to be mindful of local drivers ensuring our peloton is “tight” and respectful of their space on the roadways too.
- If you are pulling on a climb, you’re committed, and the entire climb is yours regardless of pace – do not pull off front of peloton mid climb
- If you are pulling the peloton and someone signals “car back” then remain on the front until the car safely passes – not the time to pull off the peloton to the left in the middle of the road
- Anyone choosing to take their hands off the handlebars for adjustments, stretching, taking a call or even texting please do so on the very back of the peloton ensuring no one is riding behind you
- Littering is never acceptable
- Headphones (any type of listening device) are discouraged due to safety, but realize many now wear them. If you must, please do so at a low volume where you can hear oncoming cars and your posse members cycling signals
